TRUST CANNOT
BE QUIETLY SOLD.

Commercial relationships can finance deeper work. They cannot select conclusions, purchase favorable coverage or turn reporting into a customer benefit.

Every piece carries a label

Readers should know what kind of content they are looking at before they evaluate it.

360ism-affiliated storyThe subject has a relevant commercial relationship with a 360ism company, service, studio, event or program; that relationship is disclosed.

The non-negotiables

These are the boundaries separating a publication from a promotional catalog.

Advertising is not coverage

Buying an advertisement, product, event ticket, production service or membership never guarantees editorial attention.

Sponsors do not edit conclusions

A sponsor may support a desk or series but cannot remove unfavorable facts, select every subject or approve the conclusion.

Relationships are disclosed

A commercial connection with 360ism does not disqualify a subject, but it is disclosed internally and publicly where relevant.

Credits remain visible

Writers, photographers, editors, artists and outside contributors receive visible credit and documented rights terms.

Criticism can be uncomfortable

Critical reporting is allowed even when it concerns a sponsor, partner, familiar organization or popular figure.

Serious claims receive a response

People and organizations facing substantial criticism receive a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication.

No generative image will be presented as documentary evidence.
Artificial-intelligence policy

AI may assist research organization, transcription, production planning and certain disclosed design workflows. It does not fabricate quotations, sources, people, events, products, locations or reported facts.

Synthetic or substantially altered editorial images are labeled. Historical scenes generated by AI are not presented as authentic records. Beauty retouching does not materially change a subject’s identity or physical characteristics without approval.

A visual journal investigating control of the Black image must be especially clear about where its own images come from.

Newsroom discipline

Open submissions can supply photographs, essays and personal stories. They do not replace a reporting operation.

Reporting

Assignments, research, multiple sources, interviews, documentation and appropriate response time.

Editing

Fact-checking, headline standards, copy editing, captions, publication deadlines and accountable sign-off.

Corrections

Visible corrections for material factual errors and a process for readers and subjects to raise concerns.

Rights

Contributor agreements, licenses, releases, usage limits and accurate records for words, images, audio and video.

Corrections and concerns

Accuracy is a continuing obligation.

THROBLVK will correct material errors transparently. Requests should identify the page, disputed statement and supporting evidence.
